started sketching out something for fun during my lunch break today, then went nuts inking it with frenden’s photoshop cs6 brush tool presets. it’s a weird sensation to do lineart in that program without wanting to tear my hair out.   gonna try to finish it on monday!

Rex Mantis and the Moderately Alarming Hellscape

I thought I needed a new profile image for VARIOUS ONLINE INTERNET THINGS, so here is a wildly accurate self portrait. 

Progress shot of that treehouse picture, with two of the characters roughed in.  Probably going to reposition/redraw them partially later on.  The level of detail I’m going into right now is probably unnecessary, since I’m just going to transfer the drawing to paper and do a watercolor painting, but I like the way it looks and I think it’ll be helpful in establishing the kind of texture I want to achieve in the final product.
